Abstract
The effect of irradiation with γ-quanta in a dose range from 104 to 2×107 rad on the electrical properties of passive coatings based on low-melting lead borosilicate glasses was studied. It is shown that the irradiation leads to accumulation of a positive charge in the volume of passive coatings. The radiation-induced charge exhibits saturation at an irradiation dose above 5×106 rad.
