Abstract

The energy of an electron of an adatom chemisorbed on a size-quantized film is investigated as a function of the external quantizing magnetic field. Consideration is given to the cases when the external magnetic field is directed parallel and transverse to the film surface. It is demonstrated that, as the magnetic field increases, the energy of chemisorption jumpwise decreases.
