Abstract
This paper reports on a theoretical study of intraband resonances arising in the absorption of electromagnetic radiation by a quantum nanotube both with and without involvement of optical phonons. Explicit relations are derived for the absorption coefficients. The relative intensities of the resonance peaks are analyzed.
