Abstract

A model of a space charge layer that may form between cathode and anode plasmas in the presence of a transverse magnetic field is considered. Collisions are assumed not to affect the motion of electrons in the gas. It is shown that two solutions differing by cathode plasma parameters may take place. Conditions when the effect of collisions may be ignored are found.
