Transformation problem for radiation with radial polarization

Abstract

The propagation and transportation of laser beams with radial polarization (RP beam), possessing a high efficiency in their interaction with matter, are studied. The effect of different elements of an optical system on the polarization state of RP beams is analyzed. It is shown that optical systems with radial symmetry do not disturb the polarization of an RP beam and that the negative effect of a mirror on the state of polarization can be counterbalanced.
