Abstract
Physicomechanical properties of 09G2S hot-rolled steel plates (velocity of ultrasound, hardness, and impact toughness) were found to be nonuniform because of different rates of strain and recrystallization over a plate. The lower the rolling-stop temperature, the higher the nonuniformity. Correlations between these properties are deduced, and the use of velocity of ultrasound as a parameter characterizing mechanical properties is justified.
