Abstract

A theoretical model for the description of the experimentally observed ([1] M.F. Chisholm, D.A. Smith, Philos. Mag. A 59 (2) 181 (1989)) formation of split dislocations in low-angle tilt boundaries in oxide superconductors is suggested. Conditions under which the splitting of dislocations in low-angle [100] tilt boundaries is energetically favorable are determined theoretically.
