Abstract
An analysis is made of the propagation of microwave beams in an inhomogeneous magnetized plasma. It is shown that the presence of a plasma increases the astigmatism of the beams, increases the amplitude of the beam compared with vacuum conditions, and reduces the curvature of their phase fronts compared with vacuum.
