Abstract
An analysis is made of the change in entropy in the glass transition process. It is shown that although the entropy of glass transition is less than that of melting, it is no more than two orders of magnitude smaller. The main results are obtained without using the conditions of local equilibrium, which are not satisfied for the glassy state.
