A new possibility for separate measurement of the imaginary and real parts of the third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility of initially isotropic media

Abstract

A new possibility for separate measurement of the imaginary nd real parts of the cubic optical susceptibility (and for measurement of its phase) of isotropic resonant media is demonstrated theoretically. The theoretical conclusions show good agreement with recent experimental data.
