Abstract
A study is made of a loop of logical transformations, semi-infinite or closed in a ring, with a fundamentally new type of coupling, which we call unidirectional threshold coupling. The chain is a unidirectional series-coupled union of bistable elements, whose switching from one state to the other requires a finite time.
