Abstract
A method is proposed for determining the mass spectrum of a monochromatic precisely directed source by means of a plane-parallel capacitor with a sinusoidally time-dependent voltage on the plates. The mass spectrum is reconstructed from an integral equation that relates the current to the collector with the amplitude of the ac part of the voltage.
