Simulation of an early stage of a conductor’s electrical explosion

Abstract

Phase-transformation waves that may arise in a conductor in the course of an electrical explosion are considered. An estimate allowing one to predict the possibility of occurrence of several phase transformations at the front of the single wave is proposed. Mathematical simulation results are presented.
