Abstract

It was shown that, under certain conditions, the growth of a new phase becomes much like a cooperative optical phenomenon during which the heat of phase transition evolves as a sequence of superradiance pulses (phase-transition radiation). The optical control of new-phase growth and the effect of optical properties of substances on the kinetics of phase transitions are considered.
