Abstract
A method is proposed for calculation of the capacitances of a system of infinitely long wires of circular, elliptic, and rectangular cross section in the presence of conducting plane. The method is based on exact construction of the electrostatic field potential. An algorithm for obtaining approximate calculation formulas is provided. Several particular cases are considered.
