Neutralization of H ions in collisions with fast, multiply charged ions

Abstract

The neutralization of H ions in collisions with fast, multiply charged ions is considered in the parameter region where the Born approximation applies. An analytical formula is obtained for the H neutralization cross section in such collisions.
