Focusing of charged-particle beams with energy-angular correlation in a plane-parallel capacitor

Abstract

The focusing condition is determined for beams having energy-angular correlation with the source and the detector situated on the lower plate of a plane-parallel capacitor. Expressions are given for the second-order spherical aberration and the dispersion.
