Abstract
A rigorous electrodynamic solution of the problem of the diffraction of electromagnetic waves by the surface of a vibrator is described by a system of integrodifferential equations. The method of eigenfunctions of singular operators is used to reduce the basic system to an infinite algebraic Fredholm system of the second kind. The high efficiency of the proposed method is demonstrated on concrete examples.
