Abstract

Physical experiments often require the generation of a short-lived magnetic field with specified limits of nonuniformity. Various energy storage units, specifically capacitor banks, are used to supply pulsed power to the magnetic system. The simplest configuration of such a magnetic system is formed by two identical coaxial electromagnetic coils. In this work the parameters of this system configuration are optimized, subject to field uniformity requirements.
