Effect of isotopic disorder on the thermal conductivity of germanium in the region of the maximum

Abstract

This paper discusses the question of how isotopic disorder affects the position of the thermal-conductivity maximum of germanium. The discussion is in terms of a Callaway-type model. Experimental data on the thermal conductivity of a natural Ge crystal and of highly enriched Ge70 crystals are analyzed.
