Abstract

The phenomenon of screening of the elastic field of screw dislocations is investigated on the basis of a system of self-consistent field equations for a dislocation ensemble. Expressions are derived for the effective dislocation interaction potential, the screening length, and the average elastic field energy associated with the correlation interaction of dislocations. An expression for the correlation dislocation flux is formulated in the slightly inhomogeneous case.
