Vacuum System of the Module of Elements for Beam Injection into the Booster of the NICA Accelerator Complex

Abstract

The design of the vacuum system of the electrostatic septum and the kicker plates (IP2) for injection into the booster of the NICA accelerator complex is developed. The components of the vacuum system are selected. The algorithm for the preparation of the vacuum chambers of the septum and kicker plates IP2 for achieving a maximum vacuum on a level of 10–11 torr is developed. Metal sealing flanges with trapezoidal teeth are proposed for the joints of the septum chamber for reliability.
