Synthesis and purification of aluminum isopropylate

Possibility of deep purification of lower aluminum alcoholates used to synthesize aluminum oxide by the sol-gel method and pyrolytic technique is analyzed. The influence exerted by the purity of the starting reagents, moisture content, and catalyst on the nature of the process and the purity of the product being obtained was examined.
