Thermodynamic parameters of bovine serum albumin adsorption at the surface of various nanoparticles

Abstract

Adsorption of a model protein (bovine serum albumin) at hydroxyapatite and maghemite nanoparticles as examples of promising biomedical materials has been studied. Thermodynamic parameters of the process have been determined, adsorption isotherms for various temperatures have been obtained, and dissociation constants of the albumin–nanoparticles complexes have been calculated.
