Gauss-Laguerre-Hermite method of keypoint extraction

Abstract

Keypoint detection and the descriptor construction method based on multiscale expansions of Gauss-Laguerre circular harmonic functions is considered. An efficient acceleration procedure is introduced. The procedure is based on the interconnection between the system of Gauss-Laguerre circular harmonic functions and the system of 2D Hermite functions. The test results approved the acceleration of the descriptor construction process upto several times.
