Abstract

A method for determining the proportionality coefficient K in the Rusanov linear formula σ = KR for the surface tension σ of a small object using the size dependence ε(R) of the specific total surface energy (R is the particle radius) is proposed. Unlike the function σ(R), the dependence ε(R) is easily found as a result of the computer simulation of nanoparticles.
