Parametric oscillatory instability in Fabry-Perot cavity with Gauss and Laguerre-Gauss pumping mode profiles

Parametric instabilities are calculated in the Fabry-Perot cavities of the gravitational-wave interferometers Advanced VIRGO and LIGO with Gauss and Laguerre-Gauss main mode profiles. We have revealed all unstable combinations of the elastic and Stokes’ optical modes for both the optical pumping mode TEM 00 and for the Laguerre-Gauss pumping mode LG 33.
