Water Quality and Protection: Environmental Aspects

Abstract

The peculiarities of overland flow and groundwater flow are analyzed, taking into account the transformation of the properties of atmospheric precipitation, vegetation cover, and soils. Based on the results of comprehensive studies of the ecological system of “Losinyi Ostrov” National Park, basic factors and processes determining the diversity of types of natural waters under the conditions of urbanization of adjacent area are identified.
