Abstract

A new genus and species of a basal testudinoid turtle of the family “Lindholmemydidae,” Paramongolemys khosatzkyi gen. et sp. nov., is described based on shell material from the Naranbulak Formation (Upper Paleocene) of the Naran Bulak and Khaychin-Ula IE localities (Mongolia). Material of this species includes some specimens previously described as Mongolemys tatarinovi.
