On the “area” of an electromagnetic field

Nonlinear and Quantum Optics

Abstract

A general formulation of retained integral characteristics (“areas” of an electromagnetic field) has been obtained from the Maxwell equations for electrodynamics of continuous media. The relations found can be used to monitor the accuracy of computer simulation of the field dynamics.
