On the photocycle of 4-ketobacteriorhodopsin

The artificial pigment 4-ketobacteriorhodopsin is an interesting analog of bacteriorhodopsin. Arguments concerning the scheme of the photocycle of 4-ketobacteriorhodopsin are discussed.
