Neutralization of negative hydrogen ions in collisions with multicharged fast ions

We study the neutralization of negative hydrogen ions in collisions with multicharged fast ions (including relativistic ions) by using an approach that allows a simple expression for the neutralization cross section to be derived over a range of collision parameters where the standard Born approximation breaks down.
