Conclusions
The direct complex stiffness method has been presented, in order to familiarize the practicing engineer with the technique and to give him a sufficient theoretical background to successfully apply it. Two simple test benches to measure engine mount complex stiffness have been described. Finally, the practical problems one can encounter in using the technique have been highlighted with a case study.
