Haas is Professor of Mining Engineering and Senior Research Investigator in Rock Mechanics and Explosives at the University of Misson-Rolla He earned a BS degree in mining engineertng at the Wisconsin State College and Institute of Technology, and MS and PhD degrees from the Colorado School of Mines Mr Haas speclaltzes in the area of Sialic and dynamic roca mechanics.
