Abstract
During 1990/91 a survey was conducted of Northern Territory nurseries to determine the incidence of Phytophthora and Pythium species. Four Phytophthora species, including P. cinnamomi, were discovered in Katherine and Darwin nurseries. Thirteen Pythium species were detected; these included an extremely rare species, P. pachycaule, which was isolated from a large retail nursery in Darwin.
