Abstract
Doubts whether Monographella nivalis (anamorph Gerlachia nivalis) occurs in Australia have been resolved by isolations of the fungus from cases of dryland root-rot of cereals (wheat, barley, oats, triticale) and associated grassy weeds (brome-grass, annual ryegrass) in South Australia. The occurrences were most frequent in barley and in brome-grass. Patterns of symptoms and associated fungi are discussed. Australasian Plant Pathology Vol. 15 (2) 1986
