*Anant R. Negandhi is Professor of International Business at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has served as Senior Research Fellow at the International Institute of Management during 1976–1978; was appointed a fellow of the Academy of Management in 1977, and Outstanding Educator of America in 1971. Dr. Negandhi has published more than 60 scholarly articles in various journals and is the author, co-author, or editor of numerous books, including Quest for Survival and Growth: A Comparative Study of American, European, and Japanese Multinationals (1979) and The Functioning of Complex Organizations (1981). In addition, he was founder-editor of the quarterly journal, Organization and Administrative Sciences.
