Abstract
OgilvyOne has been developing their intranet ‘Truffles’ since 1996. With over 5,000 active users, Truffles has fundamentally changed the way OgilvyOne does business. Truffles did not begin as an attempt to build an intranet but as a small project to distribute a project manual to all employees. The origins of the intranet as a mechanism for distributing knowledge, together with the active sponsorship of the chairman, are recognised as key reasons for its success. OgilvyOne continues to concentrate its efforts in three areas; generating content, promoting usage and application development.
