Figure 1: SATB1 (orange), which forms a three-dimensional cage-like network surrounding dense regions of chromatin and is induced during progression of breast cancer, probably tethers multiple gene loci onto its regulatory scaffold and assembles them with chromatin-remodeling complexes (red) and transcription factors.
