Abstract

ROOTS of Trema aspera Decaisne plants growing between rows of tea in the Pangia District of New Guinea showed abundant nodulation, similar to the nodules found on many tropical legumes. Non-flowering nodulated plant specimens were identified by the botanists of the Department of Forests, Lae, New Guinea.
