Abstract
THE enigma of cot death or sudden infant death (SID) among apparently healthy children has been the subject of extensive bacteriological, virological, immunological and biochemical study1,2. In spite of reports of successful leucocyte culture of postmortem material3–5, what we report here is to our knowledge the first cytogenetic study of these deaths.
