Effects of Actinomycin D and Cycloheximide on RNA and Protein Synthesis in Cleavage Stage Mouse Embryos

Abstract

In the earliest stages of the development of mouse embryos, RNA synthesis can be blocked without inhibition of protein synthesis; but stopping protein synthesis depresses RNA synthesis.
