Abstract

AN increasing interest in a possible association of abnormal behaviour with sex chromosome aberrations has led to a series of studies1 on special populations. There tends to be little or no intellectual impairment in females with single or triple X-chromosomes. These aberrant chromosomal states, however, may be associated with social incompetence, emotional instability and even psychosis2–5.
