Abstract
PROSTAGLANDINS have a wide range of pharmacological properties1,2. Because of the large quantities of prostaglandins found in seminal fluid and the stimulatory and inhibitory effects of these substances on myometrial activity, there has been speculation on the part played by prostaglandins in the physiology of reproduction. Recent developments in methods of prostaglandin biosynthesis have made large quantities of these compounds readily available, enabling us to investigate the effects of prostaglandins on fertility.
