Abstract
RNA changes accompanying learning have been found in rats, mice, goldfish and planaria1–8. We wanted to determine whether changes in the rate of RNA synthesis occurred during habituation in the protozoan Spirostomum ambiguum, for this would extend previous findings to a very simple form of learning in a single celled organism.
