Abstract
TETRACYCLINES are distributed to various body tissues1, which includes human prostatic fluid2,3 and semen3. Oxytetracycline has been used as a fluorescent stain for condensed spermatid nuclei of the rat4. Tetracycline HCl is a known fluorophor, and so we designed in vitro and in vivo experiments to determine, by fluorescent microscopy, whether this antibiotic binds to spermatozoa.
