Abstract

ATTENTION has recently been given to the interactions between DNA viruses in vitro. Rabson et al.1 showed that the growth of adenovirus in monkey kidney cells is enhanced by simultaneous infection with S V40 virus, and much work has been done on S V40–adenovirus “hybrids” (refs. 2, 3). We have examined the effect of several DNA viruses on oncogenesis by polyoma virus in mice.
