Abstract

Anabaena cylindrica has been shown to reduce elemental nitrogen photochemically1,2. Anabaena cylindrica is readily cultivated at room temperature, and it was of interest to determine if a blue-green alga with an optimum temperature of 39° C possessed this ability.
