Abstract
ONE of the difficulties in the determination of decomposition kinetics of solids by dynamic thermogravimetry is the recognized dependence of the results on procedural variables, particularly sample size and rate of heating1,2. It is often postulated that slow diffusion of products from the reaction sites is a rate-controlling factor.
