Abstract
ONE of the properties of the Brucella abortus and B. melitensis endotoxins is their ability to promote motility of the uterus muscle—this we demonstrated recently1,2. The Brucella endotoxins can induce a remarkable sensitivity in the isolated uterus against oxytocin1–4 and histamine3,5 which cannot be observed in the ileum5.
